I just looked at my profile, and it lists the people following me, and who I am following.

Apparently 1,378 people are following me O_O

Yet I'm only following 47 people.

How is this even possible?

No, but if you follow Oppo, every post on Oppositelock shows up in your private view. So you indirectly follow all of the authors here.

To be honest, I'm still not sure what all this following is really all about. I know there are people whom I follow, and there are people who are following me, but that has never affected anything I post or read. I guess it's a way to read comments more easily from those I'm following, but I've never gone to the list to see what those folks are saying. My feelings aren't hurt if somebody isn't following me, and I doubt too many people get a strong sense of validation when they are followed. I could be wrong, but it all seems rather silly to me.

I have a grand total of 6 followers, and I still haven't figured out how to follow here. I've looked all over for an option to follow, but nope.
